We purchased our home from Green Acres Homes in September 2020. When we looked at this home it was all set up with a garage. The first time we looked at it we knew this was exactly how we would have designed our home.
The upgrades to the house were a bonus. Working with Green Acres and their staff have always been great to work with. We would highly recommend a home from Green Acres to anyone.

We were in the market for a manufactured home for a lake place. After visiting with no less than 5 manufactured home builders within the region, we found Green Acres Homes. We were immediately impressed with the quality, available floor plans, choice of finishes, affordability of their homes…and basically decided to purchase on the spot. The Green Acres team was a pleasure to work with, keeping us updated all along the way, and the home delivery date exceeded our expectations. They even connected me to a contractor they often work with to design and build an attached garage and sunroom. We are very pleased with our decision to have chosen Green Acres Homes!.

All I can say is that Monte helped us get the home we wanted. Always answered any questions we had and even called the factory to check if it was possible to move a bedroom door to make a larger closet in entry. He listened to our requests and worked with us. Green Acres Homes are made to last. We love our hickory cabinets. We would recommend Green Acres Homes to anyone.

My first experience with Green Acres Homes was in 1993, when they sold us a two-story home. One of my sons recently made a remark to a friend that there was not a single inch of our home that was not used!
When a move to Minnesota occurred and we could not find an acceptable house, it was a no-brainer to go back to Green Acres Homes. We looked at several of their model home, and the great thing about them was that we could bring various elements of several homes into play to make a home suitable for our desires! Adjusting width and length, rearranging rooms, incorporating new ideas within kitchen cabinets were all easily done.
The craftsmanship of the home is as excellent as our first home. We have noted that our home holds the heat well in the winter and keeps the heat out in the summer, a big plus living in Minnesota. I highly recommend their products, weather looking for a two-story home for a family of eight or a wonderful ranch home for a retirement couple.

Our parents had bought a home through Green Acres in 1995, so I was familiar with Green Acres. I moved here in January 2020 to help my mom and sister. I knew within the first year of living here that when the time was right, I would be purchasing a manufactured home through Green Acres as well. I started meeting with Monte in the summer of 2022. He took the time to show me how the homes were built and explained the benefits of different features. When I sold my condo in Colorado Springs in the fall, Monte was one of my first calls. I had purchased a manufactured home almost 30 years before. I had forgotten how exciting and yet overwhelming all the decisions needed in designing a new home could be. Monte helped me throughout the entire process including helping me pick the model that best suited my wants and needs. It was exciting to watch the whole process as my new home was place on my lot in Okoboji Village North. As with any new home there were a few hiccups along the way. Monte and his staff were quick to take care of things. My sister and I were able to move into our Forever home in August. WWe feel that Green Acres is more that a company we purchased our dream home through. We feel as though they have become family.

After weighing all options, we made our choice to purchase through Green Acres. Steve worked patiently with us during initial design of floor plan and through several re-designs until we had the personalized floor plan that would work best for us. Steve was great at communicating everything up front and quick to respond if we reached out, keeping us in the loop during the entire process.
The day the house was set on the foundation was a showstopper with friends and family (and drive by neighbors) watching at a safe distance as the impressive crew walked narrow beams and knowingly guided each large piece perfectly into place. The interior crew worked magic making he pieces look like this had always been one house! Another well-hones crew arrived to build the porch on and add finishing touches to the roof. Wow! We have a sound home, well built. It is easy to heat and cool. Good job on the electrical and plumbing. Follow up customer service was top notch! We are very happy with our decision to build with Green Acres!

We worked with Howard when we were looking for a place. He told us about the rules and what we could do. He was a good guy to work with. He went through the house options with us. All of the people at Green Acres were good to work with.

My wife and I ordered a Wisconsin home in March of 2023 from Green Acres Homes in Estherville Iowa. Green Acres had a variety of choices, and the Wisconsin Home fit our need. We put the home on an area lake, so our needs were different that placing it in a residential or rural setting.

We wanted quality and simplicity. We wanted a home that would last for a lot of years without a lot of upkeep, and it appears the Wisconsin Home will do just that. We spent a lot of time researching the competition and came back to Green Acres Homes because of the friendly and informed staff in the office and on the job.

We also spent a lot of time deciding wheat we wanted in the house like cabinets, kind and color, room design, window placement and treatments, flooring options and electrical needs. We had a couple of special requests like an extra wide stair to the basement so we could easily install a chair lift for a partially disabled family member.

We felt the Wisconsin Home was a good monetary value. As the process moved forward and the house arrived, we were pleased with the multiple installation crews professional and courteous treatment. We observed that the more planning ahead we did the better the process went.

After placing the home, we hired local contractors to build a garage and finish the basement with the suggestions of local contractors from Green Acres Homes.

I purchased my manufactured home in July of 2021. My husband and I had planned back in 2018 to purchase a manufactured home but unfortunately, he became ill. Monte was so very understanding so I knew when my time came to move, I would go to Green Acres Okoboji Village North. Monte and Cheryl have been very helpful, and I can truthfully say this experience has been wonderful. The neighbors here are friendly and make our walks and visits fun. To me I feel I have found a little piece of heaven. We have a beautiful walking and bike trail that I utilize daily. It is close to many public places and activities but still far enough away to enjoy all the family gathering and activities. There are many residents that are full-time. I know I have made the perfect choice of calling this my new home.

We are thrilled with our new “retirement” home that we purchased through Green Acres Homes. We approached them with a dream and 2 specifications: a porch and no steps. With little knowledge of how to even begin this process we relied heavily on the credibility of this company and its sales office. They made the entire process easy and fun. Our new home brings us joy every day…and the compliments are never ending. Highly recommend.

As we grow near to our second anniversary in our Green Acres home, I wanted to write and thank you for helping us make our dreams reality.

As Renee and I reflect back, here are some things that stand out for us:
Flexibility – We got to design our home along with the expertise and guidance of our salesperson at Green Acres, as well as consultants at Highland Homes. We were planning our home for our retirement, so consideration was given to our present/future health concerns. Many hours were spent in the Green Acres office, and many more over the phone. This is so important as we were 3 hours away, and Covid was beginning to have an effect on so many things in our lives as well as the construction process.
Cost – Due to flexibility in planning our home, we were able to stay within our budget.
Customer Service – Due to the expertise of Monte and all the Green Acres staff, we were able to not have a General Contractor. Again being 3 hours away and not knowing area resources, Monte was able to suggest subcontractors, not dictating who it was to be, but suggesting them based on Green Acres years of experience doing hundreds of homes.
Follow Through – One of the greatest strengths of Green Acres was their timely response to questions and concerns, during planning, construction and after moving, in, yet today. We were assured that once we signed on, we were part of the Green Acres family. Highland Homes sent their workers down from the factory several times to respond to things we had found to make our home to our satisfaction.
Compassion -The greatest feature that made us choose Green Acres Homes, was their compassion for Renee and I, our dreams, as well as our concerns. Again, they listened to our wishes our concerns. This is at all levels of Green Acres.

Green Acres Homes, We are enjoying our new home it is beautiful. We are busy showing it off to everyone, they get a grand tour when visiting. They are so impressed with our home and can’t believe it. I remember the first day we came up to look. Oh poor Steve! 😊 We sat in Steve’s office and talked for hours, Monte joined us; and it was more hours. It is amazing that a person can go through this process and less than 6 months be moved in. I can’t believe it has truly happened. We want to thank you Monte, staff and especially Steve.
